Rise SC is proud to announce the hiring of Natalia Astrain as Girls Director of Coaching / Girls DA Director.
Astrain joins Rise SC from Atletico Madrid, having served as the Assistant Coach of the Liga Iberdrola championship-winning team in May 2017. Holder of a UEFA Pro License – (one of 65 women in the world vs. 9,387 men as of 2016) and the first woman in Spain to achieve such a high level of coaching status – and a Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology, Astrain’s experience and credentials are second to none. Prior to Atletico Madrid, Astrain coached boys Academy teams and the Women’s First Team for 4 years at the famed “La Masia” for FC Barcelona where she also served as the Technical Director of the Women’s Academy. While at FC Barcelona Astrain received the “Coach of the Year” award by the committee of Catalan Coaches. Astrain has also served as an Assistant Coach for the Spanish Female National Team.
Astrain is another key component in Rise SC’s goal of to creating the best player environment for young athletes and will expand the club’s ability to connect its players with opportunities in Spain and beyond.
