rise sc programs

As a full-service soccer club, Rise SC offers the most comprehensive programming for recreational and elite players and everyone in between.

The Rise SC coaching staff, with the help of parent volunteers, work to instill a love for soccer out of which players can, at an appropriate time, decide whether to move onto the competitive track. For older Rise Rec players, soccer gradually takes on the shape and characteristics of the adult game, but the environment never strays too far from the fun simplicity of the early years.

RISE RECREATIONAL
Birth years 2014 (U4) - 1999 (U19)

The Rise SC Recreational program (“Rise Rec”) — the largest in Houston — introduces our youngest players to the beautiful game.

Rise Rec provides a fun, safe, instructional soccer experience for players of all skill levels (from beginner to advanced), for players with birth years from 2014 (U4) to 1999 (U19). Tryouts are not required; however, pre-season evaluations may be scheduled for certain age groups.

Training sessions and games for Rise Rec are geographically sensible. Upon registering to the program, players have the ability to designate their “home campus” so they are close to home. Due to the popularity and scale of our recreational program, Rise SC may organize cross community play opportunities when age appropriate.

Rise Rec is, at heart, a community-based program, with teams formed from numerous geographic locations, including: West University, Bellaire, Meyerland, Sugar Land, First Colony, Missouri City, Sienna Plantation and Pearland.

Programs 1

RISE COMPETITIVE
Birth years 2007 (U11) - 1999 (U19)

The Rise SC Competitive program for boys and girls, U11 through U19 age groups, is divided into three levels, according to player ability and level of commitment:

Level 1: Rise Elite

Rise Elite is the highest competitive program within Rise SC.

Rise Elite teams:

  • U.S. Development Academy team(s), exist within the Rise Elite program and operate within the guidelines set forth by U.S. Soccer
  • Play in regional and national leagues of the highest quality, such as the U.S. Development Academy, USYS National League and USYS Southern Regional Premier League.
  • Annually participate in at least four college showcases or other events of national prominence, in addition to various local and in-state events, including USYS National Championship Series/STYSA State Cup.
  • Are formed of the strongest players from across the entire Rise SC player pool.
  • Train 2-4 times per week, depending on age and other factors, following a highly challenging and intricately designed curriculum aimed at preparing players for top college programs and for opportunities with the U.S. and other national teams.
  • May require a short commute for some training sessions.
  • Receive, in addition to technical and tactical training, futsal, TRX training and speed/agility/quickness training to round out the top athlete and prevent injuries.
  • Are coached by highly licensed, imminently capable members of our technical staff.
  • Receive thorough instruction, an array of tools and continuous support in the college recruitment process.
  • Travel regularly for league and showcases/tournaments.
The Rise Elite program is incredibly rewarding but tremendously challenging. Rise Elites must demonstrate the highest level of commitment to training at all times in order to maintain physical and mental readiness for competitions, as roster positions and playing time is 100% earned on merit.

Level 2: Rise Premier

Rise Premier is the second highest competitive program within Rise SC.

Rise Premier teams:

  • Play in statewide leagues of the highest quality, such as South Texas Youth Soccer Association’s State Classic League.

  • Are formed of the strongest players below the Rise Elite level on a community basis (e.g., Rise North Premier teams are formed from players who wish to train exclusively in the South Campus or West University areas; Rise South Premier teams are formed from players who wish to train exclusively in the Sienna Plantation/Sugar Land/Missouri City areas).
  • Train 2-3 times per week, depending on age and other factors, following a highly challenging and intricately designed curriculum aimed at preparing players for lower-level college programs.
  • Do not require a commute for training sessions.
  • Receive, in addition to technical and tactical training, futsal, TRX training and speed/agility/quickness training to round out the top athlete and prevent injuries
  • Are coached by members of the Rise SC technical staff, licensed by the U.S. Soccer Federation and fully immersed in the Rise SC curriculum.
  • Receive thorough instruction, an array of tools and continuous support in the college recruitment process, where appropriate.

Rise Premiers must demonstrate a high level of commitment to training at all times in order to maintain physical and mental readiness for competitions, as Rise SC desires all of its teams to hold or promote in league status from season to season. All players on Rise Premier teams receive playing time, but the amount of playing time and positions are at the discretion of the Rise SC technical staff based on player ability and commitment.
