Dempsey leads Reliant Youth Clinic In Honor of World Cup 26™

Dempsey leads Reliant Youth Clinic In Honor of World Cup 26™

On February 22, Reliant, in partnership with RISE Soccer Club, hosted a free youth soccer clinic at RISE South Campus, led by former U.S. Men's National Team star Clint Dempsey. This clinic was part of Reliant’s initiative to “Grow the Game” and provide local youth athletes with the opportunity to be mentored by one of the greatest figures in U.S. soccer history. After a Q&A with Chris Canetti, the FIFA World Cup 2026 Host Committee president, over 100 RISE players took the field and had the opportunity to improve their skills under the guidance of Dempsey.

“Our goal in supporting RISE and this clinic is to create opportunities for children to develop a lifelong love of soccer,” said Mark Parsons, senior vice president, Reliant. “As a proud supporter of the Houston FIFA World Cup 26™ Host Committee and longtime partner of RISE Soccer Club, we are thrilled to bring those relationships together to offer an impactful and memorable experience for local youth as we welcome world-class soccer to Houston.”

By supporting RISE Soccer Club for over a decade, Reliant continues to invest in initiatives that foster player development. Their recent donation is helping further the Houston FIFA World Cup 26™ Host Committee's mission to grow soccer and create a lasting legacy. The funds will support youth clinics, scholarships, and new field development, while Reliant customers can contribute by using promo code “RISE” for additional financial aid donations.

"Soccer is incredibly important to the children and families of Houston,” said Gary Doughty, president, RISE Soccer Club. “Soccer clinics offer our youth the chance to be inspired, to learn from the best and to grow as athletes and individuals. With Reliant’s generous donation, we hope to expand our full-service soccer program to significantly more children, and we are excited to kick off our campaign to build more soccer fields, which is essential to growing the game."
