Mike brings many years of demonstrated experience in soccer player development to RISE. He started coaching youth and adult teams in the German DFB System for almost 10 years before moving to Houston. From 2012-2014, Mike was elected president of SV Dassow 24, one of the top soccer clubs in Northwest Mecklenburg, Germany, at that time. Mike has coached at the club level in Houston since 2016 and also led the JV and Varsity Boys Soccer Program at St. Francis Episcopal School between 2017 and 2019. As a fan of the Brazilian Joga Bonito, Mike is certified by Universidade do Futebol, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and earned a business degree from Wismar University. Some of the highlights of Mike's time as a player were his brief experience with giant, Hamburger SV, at the U19 level and his time with the U23, of then, Bundesliga 2 side VFB Luebeck.
